Tuesday was a crazy one.
It was the Teen's first day of school. Luckily it was only 1/2 day because after she was there for only 1 hr., I had to pull her out to go get her driver's license. We were very excited that there was a cancellation and she could get in before December!
Here she is doing a silly pose with "her" key fob before the drive home. She, of course, snapped that to all of her friends who couldn't wait to be the first one she drove in her car.
While we were at the SOS office, I got a phone call from Julien. He was involved in a car crash in Jessica's vehicle and the car was being towed to a collision shop. Thankfully nobody was hurt.
So instead of driving friends right away the Teen got her first alone driving experience by following me to give Julien the van and then take me home. This required her to drive on 2 expressways on a 40 mile trip. She did great...but she had me drive home LOL.
Then the Teen went out to drive. This consisted of picking up friends, one at a time, and taking them for a ride.....she is only allowed one passenger in the car at a time unless it is family members. She was so excited and had a blast showing off to anyone she could.
While she did that Frank and I went car shopping. I think Jessica is going to buy the van from us and I'm going to get a car since I don't think I'm going to ever get a chance to drive mine again now that the Teen is licensed. She has already started decorating it with all her stuff. Too funny.
Wednesday was my first day back at the food pantry in a month. Frank is doing so well that I can leave him alone for hours at a time now.
This upcoming week should be less exciting. This afternoon we are attending a 16th birthday party for Marissa's friend, Ainsley. Monday, Frank's brother and his wife are coming over for dinner. Friday night is the rehearsal dinner for Marissa's Godparent's wedding. Marissa is standing up in the wedding and we have been graciously invited to attend the rehearsal dinner too.
So here is the Weekly Menu. Stop by each day as I share recipes, photos and more snippets of life here on the farm.

The teen is beautiful, many blessings to her for her new driving license and congratulations to her. Glad to hear your husband is doing better. - Cathy
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cathy.
DeleteGlad Frank is doing better. I just realized how different your laws must be. When R got his license (well, any teen), they cannot have any friends in the car for an entire year! I liked it though.
ReplyDeleteYes and the law regarding only one non family passenger is new since I last had teens. There was never any restriction for the others.
