We got a little bit behind this year. We ended up going out of town after Thanksgiving. This is when we usually start decorating the house.
But we have started now and will be ready for all the festivities to begin........
The week following Thanksgiving was very busy....I didn't even get a chance to post the Weekly Menu which mostly contained repurposed leftovers. They were delicious and I did share some of the recipes such as this Stuffing with Eggs and this Persian Turkey and Rice.
Friday night we met up with Marissa's sister so they could do some Christmas shopping and enjoyed dinner out.
Yesterday was spent at home decorating and getting ready for the holidays until we met with our friends, Greg and Linda, for a wine tasting lunch. Afterwards we returned home to more decorating and a crock pot dinner, using up leftover prime rib that had been put into the freezer after my son, Chuck's, homecoming celebration.
Today we are going to Meadowbrook Theater to see Dicken's Christmas Carol. This is an annual outing for us but the first time sharing it with Marissa and her sister. They do such an excellent job. I can't wait to see the girls reactions. We will grab dinner out after the play.
Tomorrow we are meeting up with the couple that Marissa has chosen to be her Godparents when she is baptized later this month. We are going to Texas Roadhouse, Marissa's favorite.
Friday night we are going to Amy and Doug's to celebrate St. Nicholas Day. The rest of the week is typical. I will be posting Christmas Cookies each day along with a huge group of bloggers so make sure you check back. There is going to be tons of Cookie Inspiration.
