Chilean Crab Dip and a Modern Style Chardonnay #WorldWineTravel
Join us as we celebrate the Foods and Wines of Chile. Welcome to a new year of World Wine Travel. This year we are exploring the wines of South America. I am happy to start 2023 off with an exploration of Chilean Foods and Wines.
I chose this topic as the foods and wine of Chile are easy for me to source in Michigan. This is not the case with all countries as our liquor laws in Michigan are quite stringent and often it is hard for me to source the wines needed for our events.
Carmen was the first Chilean Winery established in 1850. I purchased this bottle from Total Wine for less than $20 and was very pleased. Carmen has grown with the times and are sustainable, affordable and score very well in all competitions that they enter.
I chose to pair this wine with an appetizer of Crab Dip that we served one Sunday for family dinner. It paired very nicely with the dip and it is a crisp, juicy wine that I will look to purchase again.
I am hosting a Google Meet on Saturday, January 28th at 11 AM ET. All are welcome to join in the discussion Celebrating the Foods and Wines of Chile. If you are interested in joining us leave your information in the comments below and I will be happy to send you the code.

That looks so delicious! And a friend just told me that crab is going to be on sale tomorrow at a local grocery store. Now I just need to talk Jake into cracking and cleaning the crab for me.
