Sweet and Spicy Roasted Pecans #ChristmasSweetsWeek

I mixed in some dried cranberries and added them to my Thanksgiving salad bar.  They were perfect.

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled making it perfect for gift giving. I am still recuperating from being hit by a truck during my walk last Friday.  Thanks for your continued patience.

Sweet & Spicy Roasted Pecans

Sweet & Spicy Roasted Pecans

These sweet and slightly spicy pecans are perfect by themselves or as part of a cheeseboard or charcuterie platter when entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 1 T honey
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • pinch of ground cloves
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • 2 c. pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Stir in sugar, honey and spices until mixture boils and ingredients are dissolved and combined.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in pecans.
  4. spread pecans onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or a silicone liner in a single layer.
  5. bake in a preheated 325* oven for about 15 minutes, until toasted and browned. Cool completely on pans before serving.
