These grilled kielbasa sandwiches are scrumptious. What takes them right over the top of any others you may have had is the grilled pineapple relish. Sooooo good.

Such is the case with this Grilled Kielbasa Sandwich. It's just meat on a toasted bun but when you add this sweet and sour sauce and grilled pineapple relish....It is Heavenly.

Grilled Kielbasa Sandwiches
These grilled kielbasa sandwiches are scrumptious. What takes them right over the top of any others you may have had is the grilled pineapple relish. Sooooo good.
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 20 MinTotal time: 30 Min
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 T. siracha
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- pinch of salt
- 2 slices fresh pinapple, 1" thick
- 1/4 red onion, diced
- 2 t. ginger paste
- 1/2 small jalapeno, minced
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz. Smoked Kielbasa
- 4 sausage buns, halved
Instructions
- Place the vinegar, sugar, siracha, garlic and salt in a small saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring, until the sugar an d salt dissolve. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until syrupy, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
- Heat a gril to medium high. Grill the pineappl slices for a couple of minutes on each side, until grilll marks appear. Transfer to a cutting board and chop. Place into a bowl with the onion, cilantro, ginger, lime juice, jalapeno, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Set aside.
- Place the buns onto the grill, cut side down and cook until toasted. Remove to a plate and set aside.
- Cut each link of kielbasa in half crosswise making four pieces, Cut each of these four pieces in half lengthwise. Place onto the grill and cook about 3-4 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and kielbasa is heated through.
- Place two slices kielbasa onto the bottom of each bun. Top with 1/4 of the pineapple relish, drizzle with 1/4 of the sauce and top with the second half of the bun.
