This months ingredients were Radishes, Spinach, Lemon and Cream...…..
I had my hubby throw some burgers on the grill and while he was taking care of that I decided to make a radish cream for this challenge.
We were only making 2 burgers so the amounts given is enough for that purpose. Feel free to double or triple the ingredients as needed.
I was very please with how this radish cream paired with the burger. I wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate the radish into this dish. I thought about pickling them or roasting them but in the end I am happy that I left them raw. The bite of the radish along with the creamy tanginess of the cheesy cream and lemon sauce was perfection.

Grilled Burgers with Radish Cream
The bite of the radish along with the creamy tanginess of the cheesy cream and lemon sauce is the perfect topping for a juicy grilled burger.
prep time: 10 minscook time: 10 minstotal time: 20 mins
ingredients:
2/3 lb. ground chuck
Montreal Steak Seasoning to taste
2 hamburger buns
1 radish, cut into chunks
1 oz. Neufchatel cheese
1 t. light cream
1 t. lemon juice
1 handful baby spinach leaves
instructions
Divide the meat in half and form two patties. Season to taste with Montreal Steak seasoning or your favorite seasonings.
Place on a grill over med high heat and cook to desired temperature. We like medium and this took about 3-4 minutes per side.
Meanwhile, place the radish, cheese, cream and lemon juice in a small food processor or blender and pulse until blended.
Place the burger patties on a bun, top each with 6 or 7 baby spinach leaves and half of the radish cream.

ReplyDeleteI had never heard of radish cream either but it worked!
DeleteYour choice of radishes with a burger is interesting — I can see how the sharpness would work with the meaty-fatty burger taste.
