When the weather outside is frightful, it's time to head into the kitchen and cook up this delicious, comforting stew that will keep your family warm and content while they wait out the blizzards.
The entire country is under a deep freeze. We are used to it here in Michigan, but those southern states are suffering terribly. I read that more flights were canceled this past weekend than were canceled during the pandemic.
I also saw this meme that made me chuckle. Being stuck inside watching our fellow citizens in Minnesota out in this weather, trying to protect themselves and their community from this current administration that seems to be following the wrong side of history, and is reminiscent of the Hitler regime, can be overwhelming. I was happy to have something to chuckle about.
I decided to turn off the news, unplug from social media, and head into the kitchen, where I can always find peace and solace. I decided to make some chicken and dumplings, knowing that it would provide us with a little more comfort during these trying times.
I first shared my Chicken and Dumplings recipe in January of 2014. The recipe platform I was using at that time is obsolete and no longer printable, so I am rewriting it today.
