Celebrating Diwali as we welcome in November and the Weekly Menu

Thursday was the first day of Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.  It is a celebration of good over evil and lasts for 5 days usually between October and November depending on the position of the moon.

Our son-in-law is Hindu.  We did not celebrate on Thursday as it was Halloween and Little Miss M was dragging her parents around to beg for treats and hoping for no tricks.  However they did stop by our house to drop off some sweets, a Diwali tradition.

Tonight they are going to see MJ, the Musical so we are hanging out with Little Miss M.  Tomorrow we are going out to a restaurant, Marigold Indian Cuisine, to celebrate the final day of Diwali.

Wednesday is Little Miss M's birthday.  She is 4 years old already.  Time sure does fly.  We will be celebrating with her next Saturday.  On Thursday we are having dinner at the Bonacorsi's.  Other than that it is just a typical week here on the farm.
