Zucchini Chips (Dehydrator) #MultiCookerMonday

Wondering what to do with all of those zucchini sitting on your counter?  How about turning them into chips?  You will not believe how delicious they are.

Zucchini Chips

It's time for Multi Cooker Monday.........

My friend Sue of Palatable Pastime invites us to join her on the 3rd Monday of each month sharing recipes made using Small Kitchen Appliances.  Think slow cooker, air fryer, toaster oven, instant pot or, in my case today, a Dehydrator.

Recipes using Small Kitchen Appliances

I had a lot of zucchini to use up so I decided to turn them into chips using my dehydrator.  My dehydrator is a function of my Breyville Smart Oven.  I was only able to do small batches at a time and each batch takes several hours but once they are done they will last a couple of weeks kept in a sealed plastic bag so that you can enjoy them for quite a while.

Unless my Angel Face is around.  I made the first batch and she tried one.  Then she took the plate and returned it to me empty before I even had a chance to get the next batch into the oven.  This continued for the next 5 batches and her bedtime.  The last batch was still dehydrating.  She ate those for breakfast the next day. I got perhaps two of the chips and Frank got just one chip to try.  She was like a zucchini eating machine.

She's an old pro at this blogging stuff now.  "Here Grammy, take a picture of me eating them".  I LOVE that kid!!!

If you don't have a dehydrator or Breyville these can be made in your oven at 235* and placing them on parchment lined baking sheets.  Using your oven, you will be able to do several baking pans at once, however you will need to keep a closer eye on them and perhaps flip them halfway through.

  3. Lucky Wendy! to have such a cute kid and one who enjoys food, this gives so much satisfaction, when they eat what is cooked. Must try these super delicious zucchini chips in air fryer.

    1. I tried them in the air fryer first Sneha, watch them closely or perhaps slice them a little thicker. Mine burnt to a crisp in no time so I switched to the dehydrator as they were already sliced.
