Israeli Sticky Wings #ChickenWingDay

This simple Middle Eastern marinade of lemon and olive oil makes a delicious platter of sticky wings that your guests will gobble up in no time.

Welcome to Festive Foodies.  We are celebrating National Chicken Wing Day......
This party is being hosted by Christie of A Kitchen Hoor's Adventures.  Talk about a busy lady.  I am posting 3 recipes today for 3 different groups.  Two of the groups are being hosted by Christie and she has another event, #NationalLasagnaDay, that I did not participate in but can't wait to read all the posts of those who did.

Let's see what the gang brought to our wings party........
The wings that I am sharing today was based on a recipe that I found at Haaratz in an article entitled How to BBQ Iraeli style.  I served them as a first course of an Iraeli inspired dinner that I made for Eat the World.  The main course were these amazing Date Glazed Beef Kebabs.

The wings were a huge hit as an appetizer with cocktails while dinner was being grilled.  They are the perfect wings.  Easy to prepare with just a few ingredients.  Like all wings they do take a while to cook but the end result is well worth it.

These wings need to marinate in the olive oil, lemon and garlic mixture for at least 30 minutes but will be fine for up to 2 hours in the refrigerator before grilling.

Slow grilled for a deliciously flavored, finger licking sticky goodness.
