Today is my Mom's birthday. She is celebrating up in Heaven with all the other family and friends we have lost before we were ready.
Our mom loved nothing more than a good party. She was a very social person, and when she wasn't out having fun, she was bringing fun to our household.
Mom loved to entertain. Nothing fancy, usually a one-pot dinner of soup or stew, and a table full of folks playing cards or games. I am proud that I inherited that entertaining gene. I love nothing more than hosting a full house, and I have plenty of that on the schedule this week.
Today, we are attending the open house at Anchor Bay Scuba with the rest of the Dive Family. It is a potluck extravaganza. We always enjoy a holiday visit with friends who have become like family.
Tomorrow, I am hosting the Santa Party for my side of the family. As our family grew, it became more difficult for us to all find a day during Christmas week to get together. Our solution was to celebrate our Dubrul Family Christmas the same day we celebrated our Mom. I have kept this tradition going since Mom's passing in 2016.
On Tuesday, we are heading to the Wings game with Marissa, Hunter, and Hunter's Mom. We will grab something to eat on the way there.
On Wednesday, we are hosting the Choir Christmas Party. This is a potluck with an extra choir practice after dinner. Thursday, we are having dinner out with the Bonacorsis and Luths, followed by a Christmas Cabaret at the local theater. Friday, we are recuperating LOL.....
Enjoy my hectic weekly menu. I hope you are having fun this Holiday Season......
