Six years ago this 14-year-old waltzed into our lives and stole our hearts.
Five years ago today she legally became our daughter.

Tonight we are taking Marissa and her guy, Aiden, out to celebrate this wonderful anniversary.
Sunday we are celebrating with a gathering of family and friends who are like family. She has come so far in these 6 short years and we are very blessed to have her in our lives.
Tomorrow night we are going to a Rod Stewart Tribute/Dinner Show at our church to raise funds for our fight against Sex Trafficking, a big problem in our area, as we share a border with Canada.
We had a great time up north last week with our long-overdue getaway. We got to spend time reconnecting with people we love, each other, and nature.
This week my life returns to normal, exercise classes, pottery, lunch with my sister, and choir practice. This is what we are cooking up around here.......
