Orange Hot Chocolate #SundayFundayBloggers

Every holiday season I look forward to buying those Chocolate Oranges that they sell wrapped in foil.  You crach them on the table and they break into segments.  I think chocolate and orange is one of my favorite flavor profiles.

Orange Hot Chocolate

So I decided to ask Frank to jazz up my hot chocolate with a splash of Grand Marnier last night.

Sue of Palatable Pastime is hosting our Sunday Funday Blogging group this week and asked us to share Hot Drinks.  I was originally going to make a large batch of Vin Brule to serve at one of the numerous holiday parties I had planned. But then I got smashed by a truck and spent all my entertainment time in the hospital.

Orange Hot Chocolate

Three weeks to the day that I got hit, I was released from the hospital.  Yesterday was my second day home and when Frank asked if he could get me anything I asked for some Orange Hot Chocolate.  He was happy to comply and even took over all the taking of photos so that I could join in today's event.

Let's take a look at what the others are serving up.........

Happily it is not quite as sweet as the Chocolate Orange and is a cozy and comforting way to cuddle up with a Christmas movie. He added a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top and it really amped up the flavor profile of this satisfying cup of cocoa.
