prep time: 10 Mcook time: 20 Mtotal time: 30 M

ingredients:

  • 1 box (2 sheets)  frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 c. peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. buttermilk powder
  • 1/4 c. powdered sugar

instructions:

How to cook Peanut Butter and Chocolate Strusel

  1. Unfold one of the sheets of puff pastry.  Roll lightly with rolling pin and place onto a baking pan that has been coated with cooking spray.
  2. In small bowl of stand mixer cream together the cream cheese, peanut butter, eggs, powdered buttermilk and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Spread onto the sheet of puff pastry leaving 1" at the edges. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the peanut butter mixture.   Dampen the edges of the bottom sheet with a pastry brush dipped in water.  Cut the second pastry sheet into strips and criss-cross them on top of the filling and onto the dampened edges.  Fold the edges over onto the strips, press down and brush again with water to seal.
  4. Bake in a preheated 400* oven for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
