Wow, that was a fast weekend

I hope that all of you had just as great a weekend as we did.  It started out by having Danielle come over to hang out with us during the day on Friday.  She had the day off school and we haven't gotten to spend as much time together as we would like so we grabbed this opportunity.  Danielle, Frank and I met Nicole and Pierre for lunch and had a great visit before the three of them had to go to work. They are all 3 in the food service industry so their hours are all over the place.

After lunch, we stopped and picked up Melody so that Tingting could get some work done before coming over to join us for dinner.  When we got home, Jen and Lili were already here but Lily was heading out the door to spend some time with her friends that live next to her old house.  I started dinner while Jen ran up to the store and Frank entertained Melody.  Amy and Doug got out of work a little bit early so we all got some extra time together.

I made a pot of chili, some pork carnitas quesadillas and some botanas, Recipes to follow in a later post.  Frank made up margaritas and we all had a great time.

The next day 10 of us met up and spent the day at a scrapbooking fundraiser held by our FOP Ladie's Auxiliary.  We have been doing this together for 10 years now.  We always look forward to spending the day together.  It is a lot of laughs and good times.  I made my Christmas cards again this year. You can see previous years here and here.

And this is this years version.

This morning Frank made Jen and Lil a delicious, hearty breakfast before they headed out to go home and we headed out to Mass.  Tingting and Melody met us at church and Melody was an angel for the entire Mass.  We came home and had lunch and then kept Melody while Ting went out with a friend. It was a wonderful, weekend...over in the blink of an eye.
