Twas the Day Before Christmas

Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house
People are rushing and running about.
Last minute packages need to be packed
Fish to be cooked and gifts to be sacked.

The groceries need buying, The food to be prepped.
The car to be loaded. I hope Mom doesn't have strep.

Hair appointments are calling
And the snow it is falling.
The house needs a cleaning and
lest we forget the true meaning
Of Christmas we must
Stop for a minute and attitudes adjust.

Take a moment to stop, to breathe and recoup
Before at the family outing we group
To celebrate the birth of our Lord and our King.
Go to Mass, Go to Bed and in the morning begin
The hustle and bustle all over again.

Wishing you, Dear Reader, and yours a
Very Merry Christmas
From Me and Mine
