Between the Sheets #LemonWeek

Fresh lemon juice combined with brandy, gin, and triple sec creates this cocktail that originated in Jerusalem.  Date of origin is not certain but it appears to have been in the late 1920s or early 1930s which makest the name very risque at that time.

Between the Sheets Cocktail pin

I discovered this recipe while reading Around the World in 80 cocktails by Chad Parkhill.  This book gives the background and recipes for 80 different cocktails from all around the world.  It was so much fun reading all the blurbs about how a cocktail was created and named.  I adapted it slightly using brandy instead of cognac as I didn't have any cognac in my cupboard.

I was excited to find this lemony concoction to share with you today.  Let's see what recipes the others are sharing.......

  6. Just caught up with this one, and good thing! Sounds like a winner. We've usually got at least a lemon or two on the tree, though it is officially off season now.
