Cheeto Pork Chops and the Weekly Menu #NationalCheeseDoodleDay

Tender and juicy, these boneless pork loin chops are breaded in crushed cheetos and baked to perfection.

Cheeto Pork Chops

We are celebrating National Cheese Doodle Day.......

Cheetos

Erin of  The Spiffy Cookie asked us to join her in celebrating the iconic snack treat, Cheese Doodles, aka Cheetos here in my neck of the woods.

I joined in the fun last year as well sharing a recipe for these delicious Cheeto Cheese Balls, an ooey goeey appetizer that we loved.  This year I decided to go with a main course, originally I was going use cheetos to make chicken strips but then I had some pork chops left from the package I defrosted when I served up Hungarian Pancakes last week and decided to use the cheetos as breading for them instead.

Let's see what cheesy concoctions the others are sharing........

Cheeto Pork Chops

The Lenten Season is filled with easy, quick recipes during the week as I am busy running the Fish Fry for our Parish.  Having been retired for well over 10 years I get into the groove of being able to plan whatever I want for dinner not having to worry too much over time constraints.

But during Lent, I find myself resorting back to those types of recipes I made while I was working.  This week is going to be more of the same kind of meals.  Thank goodness for slowcookers, instant pots and air fryers!!

This recipe is perfect for busy days.  When you get home, it takes only minutes to dredge the chops and put them into the oven.  While they are baking you can make your side dishes, in this case I sauteed some potato pierogi in butter with onions and opened a can of baked beans....not a lot of color on the plate but still delicious.
