Kielbasa and Cabbage Skillet #SundayFunday

This flavorful dinner is ready and on the table in less than an hour from start to finish.  It is budget friendly and high in fiber.

Kielbasa and Cabbage Skillet

I used leftover roast fresh kielbasa in this skillet.  It is a great way to use up leftovers but I have also made it with smoked sausage.

Stacy of Food Lust People Love asked the Sunday Funday Bloggers to join her in sharing One Pot Wonders.  Stacy invited us to use pots on the stove or oven, sheet pan dinners, slow cooker, and instant pot meals.  The goal was to share recipes that are not only delicious but have created little necessary cleanup.

Lets see what we've all cooked up today..................

Kielbasa and Cabbage Skillet

This skillet started out with leftover roast kielbasa that I had from Christmas Dinner.  I sliced it and sauteed it in a little olive oil with onions, to brown it a bit.

Then I added the sliced cabbage and a little water, covered it and let it cook until tender.  This recipe is a little different then what I have made before.  I found a recipe on Budget Bytes that used a vinaigrette to dress the dish after it was done cooking.  This is a great addition to this dish and a bit of flavor and bite to it.  I think it will be a regular addition from now on.

  3. This is a favorite at my house too, Wendy. Sometimes I use pork ribs instead of the sausage but we love it either way. The vinaigrette at the end is new to me but I can see why it works. I'll definitely give that a try next time.
