Holy Samoly! What happened to October? and the Weekly Menu

It is so hard to believe that October is nearly over. I know I say this every week but....Where in the heck does the time go??I

It has been perfect Autumn weather here lately.  Temps in the 60s and sunshine.  The colors are in full bloom and the air smells of leaves and straw.  Yesterday was spent with the Moms, both of them. I took Mom Klik to therapy in the morning. She is doing much better.  She is a pro with the walker now and does not get as exhausted during therapy as in the past so after therapy we hung out together.  I took her to do her banking and then we went and visited with my Mom. Mom didn't have a clue who she was but Mom Klik is a talker so Mom enjoyed that and it gave her a change of scenery.  When it was time for Mom's lunch, I took Mom Klik out for lunch before heading home to get dinner prepared.  I don't know if Mom Klik needed a nap after her busy morning but I grabbed a nap once dinner was ready to go in the oven.  I don't think I would have lasted through choir without that nap.

I made some changes to last weeks menu, Thursday we had Beef Pot Pie for dinner instead of chicken because I needed to use some of the leftover pot roast from Tuesday.  I put together a Meatloaf for Wednesday that Frank threw in the oven when I was on the way home from Food Pantry.

Tonight's dinner is off the table because Frank found a new restaurant that he wants to try and is taking me out for dinner. I love impromptu date nights.  Moving tonight's menu to next Friday. Luckily the tuna steaks are frozen.

Tomorrow we are celebrating our niece, Danielle's, birthday and having dinner at their house. Sunday we are going with John and Kirsten to see Dirty Dancing, the Musical and will have dinner afterwards.  I am very excited about this play.  I hope they do a good job.

The rest of the week is typical.  Taking Mom Klik to therapy, going to visit Mom, choir practice, etc.
Nothing to interfere with dinner plans so we have nearly a full weeks menu with recipes and photos to follow.
